Suicide Note

My last writing on earth
Not for a merry party do I intend,
I’ve chosen the rope o’er your wrath
For my woes to end.
And I’m not begging for wreath.

Better the grave than to be brave
And face another day of humiliation,
Nothing hurts like a goodbye wave
But with eternal departure intentions,
I’m relieved to write my suicide note.

I know this paper wouldn’t blame me
Plain and white and emotionless,
Of things I did, of the person I couldn’t be
I trust this pen to bear my loneliness,
My hopelessness, faithlessness and shame,
As I scribble the sanity in my madness,
One last time.
